This autumn, CML returned to St Stephen’s, Gloucester Road for a concert featuring Leonard Bernstein’s famous Chichester Psalms.
November 23 saw the choir, alongside an illustrious array of instrumentalists, perform the American composer’s spectacular work, alongside choral music by an eclectic roll-call of modern composers, to the delight of an appreciative audience.
‘Everything about this was wonderful. The setting, the programme, the musical arrangements of all kinds, the singing and accompaniments. The whole evening was so enjoyable. The variety of modern and contemporary religious and spiritual music was excellent. The singing was superlative, choir and solos. The harp and organ and percussion were also marvellous I shall look out for other events by Collegium Musicum.’
‘Wonderful evening of choral music, with amazing vocals, arrangements and musicians The Harp sounded beautiful in the acoustics of the church. A lovely way to get in the Xmas spirit.’
