CML’s journey down England’s Lanes

A packed house at St James Garlickhythe on Thursday 9th May saw a polished performance by Collegium Musicum of London of English a cappella choral favourites. Highlights included tenor James Moriarty’s sparkling rendition of Paul McCartney’s When I’m Sixty-Four. The choir, under the expert direction of MD Greg Morris brought the house down when they served up a dazzling encore of the Spice Girls’ Wannabe – expertly arranged as an English madrigal.

Audience reaction

‘Very enjoyable evening. The choir were very professional, came across as loving what they do and were very connected to all the songs they sang.’

‘Loved it! Went with friends, one of whom sings in a choir and said how impressive they were. Part of the joy of it was the enjoyment so obvious on the faces of the choir.’

‘The audience paid rapt attention and applauded enthusiastically. A thoroughly enjoyable event.’

‘Another highly polished performance by this choir…a very enjoyable evening.’
