Collegium Musicum of London’s summer concert of works by Bach, Vivaldi and Lotti received a rapturous response from a near-capacity crowd at St James’s Piccadilly on Saturday, June 11th.
Wren’s architectural gem provided the perfect setting for a bravura performance by the choir and the accompanying instrumentalists. Assured conducting from CML Musical Director Russell du Plessis also conjured fine performances from the accomplished ensemble of soloists Philippa Murray, Rosemary Galton, Martha McClorinan, Nick Scott and Simon Whiteley.
