Yuletide festivities with Battersea dogs and cats

Now a tradition at this time of year, Collegium Musicum of London entertained a large and appreciative audience in Chelsea – including some fine canines and a smattering of A list celebrities – helping to raise funds for Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. This is CML’s tenth year at St Luke’s, and it’s always a fun occasion!

Here’s just one of the favourable comments from an audience member:

‘We are travelling from New Zealand and for the second time were able to attend the Battersea Concert last night. It was a delightful evening. And while the work of Battersea is rightly honoured and the animals are the stars of the show, it is the wonderful choir and choir master who bring this evening together. The singing was beautiful. We felt uplifted as we floated home in the London rain and are still full of happiness this morning. You make this evening special and we are very grateful for your effort, grace and mastery that make this a wonderful evening to attend…thank you all…and please pass thanks to the organist…just stunning.
Happy Christmas to you all and to your families.’
