Brandenburg Festival triumph for CML

Collegium Musicum of London’s first appearance at the Brandenburg Choral Festival last month saw an accomplished reprise of the choir’s AMORE concert, first perormed in March in Clerkenwell, and then in Bourn, Cambridgeshire a few days later.

Corpus Christi Church, a hidden gem in the heart of Covent Garden, was the venue for a well-received performance of a capella favourites on the theme of love – and all its manifestations. The concert featured choral works from Monteverdi to Lennon and McCartney, with a sprinkling of Lassus, Elgar and Irving Berlin on the way.

The choir hope to revisit the festival with a similarly varied programme next year.
