Collegium Musicum of London wowed a packed audience of nearly 200 at St Sepulchre’s in the City of London last Saturday (23rd May). The choir, brilliantly conducted by Greg Morris and supported by a superb band of baroque soloists, were complemented by the four outstanding soloists Amy Wood (soprano), Timothy Travers-Brown (counter-tenor) William Balkwill (tenor) and Jimmy Holliday (bass).
The concert was the last by the choir until September, although a recording session of English folk songs and a Patronal service at the church of Our Most Holy Redeemer, Clerkenwell, beckon later in the summer.
The event also marked the end of a long association with veteran bass Roland Rosner (pictured) who is leaving CML after many years’ loyal service. Bon voyage!
